(Moncton – July 6, 2022) - The YMCA Community Action Network is proud to announce their latest project; Be Your Best You: A Series of Youth Development Workshops. The Be Your Best You Workshop Series has been organized and developed by a group of young people that are passionate about increasing youth education around a variety of topics. The group has come together and enlisted the help of local professionals to offer community members an opportunity to learn about a variety of topics. Workshops will primarily take place at the YMCA Moncton North – 70 Twin Oaks Dr.

(Moncton – March 25, 2022) - The YMCA Community Action Network is proud to announce Explore Your Paths – Life After High School. A YCAN cohort comprised of university students have come together to create Explore Your Paths - a virtual seminar aiming to give High School Students the opportunity to hear from youth speakers with varying experiences, as they plan what to do upon finishing High School. 

(Moncton – March 15, 2022) The YMCA Community Action Network is thrilled to announce Mental Health 101 – An Afternoon of Mental Health Awareness. Mental Health 101 has been organized by a cohort of five youth that are passionate about ending the stigma and educating the community about resources for mental health. The group of youth have come together and collaborated with local organizations to offer the community an afternoon of presentations, activities, and education! The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 20th from 12pm-4pm at the YMCA Moncton North – 70 Twin Oaks Dr.

(Moncton – February 24, 2022) - The YMCA Community Action Network (YCAN) is an innovative national program that engages leaders ages 15 to 30 across Canada to address a community need through service projects. The program, part of the Canada Service Corps initiative, supports youth with opportunities to identify and execute a local service project that is meaningful to them.

(Moncton, February 22, 2022) – Do you have what it takes to be a Battle of the Brains champion? Registration is now open for the YMCA of Greater Moncton’s 19th annual Battle of the Brains trivia challenge, taking place at the Y on Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m.

We are so excited to be able to re-open our facilities for you!  Our team met this morning to discuss and we will not open on Saturday, January 29 due to the impending storm.  Our Vaughan Harvey location will open on Sunday, January 30 at 7:00am.  Our YMCA Moncton North will re-open on Monday, January 31 at 6:30am. 

Based on the decision of the province of New Brunswick to impose a lockdown due to the increasing number of hospitalizations.  This closure affects the YMCA’s Health, Fitness and Aquatics Centre. We will remain closed until advised by government health officials that we are able to reopen.

With the province moving to Level 2 of their Winter Plan, we are going to be putting a pause on our Group Swimming lessons until further notice. This is not something that any of us were hoping for, but know we will be better on the other end of this COVID pandemic.
