Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Greater Moncton wants everyone to have the opportunity to take part in its programs and enjoy its facilities and services. Assistance is available for those who feel they would benefit from joining the YMCA, but are financially unable – not unwilling – to pay the full general membership and/or program fees.

The YMCA Financial Assistance program is supported by dollars raised through our Annual Campaign. It is through the outstanding generosity of our YMCA family and friends that everyone can have a YMCA experience.

Do you need financial assistance so that you or a loved one can participate in a YMCA program?  We are here to help.

  • Come in for a tour to learn about the YMCA
  • Complete the application form and gather the necessary information
  • Bring your completed application and information to Membership Services for us to review

Our Financial Assistance for International Students (FAIS) is back for its 2nd year! 🌟

We recognize the unique challenges international students encounter, such as higher tuition costs, adjusting to a new city, cultural differences, and limited opportunities. In recognition of these hardships, we are proud to offer 60% off assisted memberships exclusively to international students and their families for the second year in a row. Starting Aug 1st, international students can get membership through our financial assistance. Don’t miss this opportunity to access all our facilities and programs at a reduced rate.

Key Details:

Eligibility: International students (any year) and their families
Documents Required: Proof of enrollment for 2024 and student visa/permit
Completion of the Financial Assistance Form
Application Period: August 1 to November 30, 2024

We ask that you keep all information and fees discussed confidential.

Everyone must pay some portion of the annual membership/program fee.

Your request could be denied if your financial information does not identify an inability to pay for the fees or if you are missing some of the required information.

All memberships have an expiration date. The YMCA does not remind you when your membership expires. As a member, it is your responsibility to contact Membership Services to renew your membership. You must bring in your current income documents to be renewed.
