(Moncton, December 22, 2021) – The YMCA of Greater Moncton is opening its doors to the public on Christmas Day.

This is the first time the Y will open one of its locations on Christmas Day. The North End location at 70 Twin Oaks Drive will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

“COVID-19 will once again affect how families are able to gather and celebrate,” said YMCA of Greater Moncton CEO Zane Korytko. “We also realize that not everyone in our community celebrates Christmas. The YMCA is dedicated to personal growth and community development and being open on Christmas Day is another way to fulfill our mission.”

It’s free for any members who want to drop by the Y’s North End on Christmas Day and $5 for non-members.  The walking track at the North End is free to the public.
