YCan Presenting a Living Library
(Moncton – February 24, 2022) - The YMCA Community Action Network (YCAN) is an innovative national program that engages leaders ages 15 to 30 across Canada to address a community need through service projects. The program, part of the Canada Service Corps initiative, supports youth with opportunities to identify and execute a local service project that is meaningful to them.
YMCA’s Battle of the Brains is Back for 2022
(Moncton, February 22, 2022) – Do you have what it takes to be a Battle of the Brains champion? Registration is now open for the YMCA of Greater Moncton’s 19th annual Battle of the Brains trivia challenge, taking place at the Y on Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m.
YMCA of Greater Moncton to re-open!
We are so excited to be able to re-open our facilities for you! Our team met this morning to discuss and we will not open on Saturday, January 29 due to the impending storm. Our Vaughan Harvey location will open on Sunday, January 30 at 7:00am. Our YMCA Moncton North will re-open on Monday, January 31 at 6:30am.
The YMCA of Greater Moncton will be forced to close both of our facilities as of end of business on Friday, January 14, 2022
Based on the decision of the province of New Brunswick to impose a lockdown due to the increasing number of hospitalizations. This closure affects the YMCA’s Health, Fitness and Aquatics Centre. We will remain closed until advised by government health officials that we are able to reopen.
Pause on our Group Swimming lessons until further notice
With the province moving to Level 2 of their Winter Plan, we are going to be putting a pause on our Group Swimming lessons until further notice. This is not something that any of us were hoping for, but know we will be better on the other end of this COVID pandemic.

YMCA of Greater Moncton is proud to announce that, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Blaine Higgs have reached a historic agreement to implement $10-a-day child care for families across New Brunswick within the next five years.
YMCA of Greater Moncton encourages healthy lifestyles for youth with free Grade 5 memberships
(MONCTON - September 27, 2021) – The YMCA of Greater Moncton is once again offering free Grade 5 membership in hopes of helping local youth develop healthy lifestyles.
Vaccination Status
As you are aware, the Province of NB has informed the public that as of 11:59pm September 21st all individuals entering our facilities must be fully vaccinated. The YMCA will be enforcing this policy effective 5:30am on Wednesday September 22nd.
YMCA of Greater Moncton to Launch Youth Advisory Committee
(Moncton, September 7, 2021) – The YMCA of Greater Moncton has announced they will be hosting a youth advisory committee at the North End YMCA. Youth between the ages of 12-25 can apply.
