Our Global Partner: YMCA Risaralda, Colombia

For over 20 years, the YMCA of Greater Moncton has shared a powerful and enduring partnership with YMCA Risaralda, located in the coffee-growing region of Colombia. What began as a global connection through the YMCA movement has grown into a relationship built on deep trust, shared values, and a collective commitment to peace, equity, and opportunity.

YMCA Risaralda is a dynamic and courageous organization, working at the frontlines of community development in one of Colombia’s most socially complex regions. Their programs focus on:

  • Peacebuilding in communities
  • Youth empowerment and leadership development
  • Gender equity and advocacy for women’s rights
  • Inclusive community-building rooted in dignity and human rights

This partnership is about solidarity and shared growth. We learn from each other, support one another, and remain united in a common mission: to build stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.
