YMCA ReConnect Stories: Finding Humanity In Homelessness
They say everyone has a story…
Working with those experiencing homelessness through our ReConnect Program, we’ve discovered this to be very true. Some stories are about loss, misfortune, addiction, heartbreak, and injustice. Others of hope, courage, community, companionship, and kindness. All are about how life can change in the blink of an eye, and the incredible circumstances that need to be overcome in order to turn things around.
We hope that by listening to their stories, their struggles, their hope for a better tomorrow, everyone can gain a better understanding of what it takes to reduce homelessness in Moncton, and appreciate that the reality of their situations is much different and much more complex than we ever could have imagined.
Thank you for tuning in and finding it in your heart to help us address this important issue.
