The YMCA of Greater Moncton will close both of their fitness facilities as of January 6, 2021 based on the decision of the province of New Brunswick to revert the entire province to the Orange Alert Level due to the recent increase of positive COVID-19 cases.  We will remain closed until we return to the Yellow Alert Level

“We decided to hold an open house in January to encourage people to start the year in a healthy direction,” says the local YMCA’s CEO Zane Korytko. “It’s a great chance to sample our group fitness classes, try our pools, learn about programs and take tours of the facility.  The public will be able to access the Y for free all day, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.”

From 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Sunday, YMCA members and non-members are invited to take part in a medley of the Y’s Mossa group exercise classes. Korytko notes that non-members will be required to show a piece of government-issued photo ID at the Membership Services Desk to attend the class.

In addition to the medley class, there will be a free public swim for all ages from 2:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. Sunday. (Non-members must bring government-issued photo ID to access the pool area. Bathing caps are also required.)

“If you’ve always wanted to check out what the Y has to offer, this open house is the perfect time to do it,” says Korytko.
