The YMCA of Greater Moncton will close both of their fitness facilities as of January 6, 2021 based on the decision of the province of New Brunswick to revert the entire province to the Orange Alert Level due to the recent increase of positive COVID-19 cases.  We will remain closed until we return to the Yellow Alert Level

DETAILS:     Due to the projected snowfall, the YMCA of Greater Moncton has decided to postpone its Peace Lunch and Learn scheduled for noon tomorrow and reschedule      it to Friday, Nov. 30 at noon.


Tickets purchased for tomorrow’s event will be valid for Nov. 30. Those wishing to purchase tickets for the revised date can do so at the YMCA’s Membership Desk or online at If you hold a ticket for tomorrow and cannot attend on the new date, you can donate the ticket or have it refunded by contacting the YMCA’s Bonnie MacFadyen at 857-0606 Ext 2253 or

 For 30 years, YMCAs across Canada have recognized local groups and individuals who strive to build a more peaceful society. During the Nov. 30 Peace Lunch and Learn, sponsored by JE Hastings Ltd., Peace Medals will be awarded to local peace builders. The YMCA Peace Medal is awarded to individuals or groups, who – without any special resources, status, wealth or position – demonstrate a commitment to the values of P-E-A-C-E (participation, empathy, advocacy, community, empowerment) through contributions within their local, national or global community. Awards will be given to:

Ø Joannie Sichel of Moncton;

Ø Woven Cultures (founded by Alfred Bessawa, Khairunnisa Intiar and Jabbar Lawani)
