(Moncton, March 16, 2020) – As of 6 p.m. today, the YMCA of Greater Moncton will close its licensed Child Care and After School programs until further notice due to the COVID-19 situation.
“As directed by the Province of New Brunswick, our licensed Child Care and After School programs will suspend their operations as of tonight,” said YMCA of Greater Moncton CEO Zane Korytko. “Our charity continues to do what we can to ensure the health of our staff, volunteers, participants and the broader community.”
The following list updates programs and services at the YMCA of Greater Moncton:
- YMCA Child Care and After School programs:
As noted above, YMCA licensed Child Care and After School programs will be suspended until further notice. Additional information is being given to our Child Care and After School families.
- YMCA Health, Fitness and Aquatics Centre:
The Health, Fitness and Aquatics Centre closed Saturday, March 14, and will remain closed until Monday, March 30 (subject to change). Limited staff are available by phone to answer questions at the YMCA - Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 857-0606 (Press ‘0’ for Membership Desk).
- ReConnect Street Intervention Program, SUN (Greater Moncton Supportive Housing) Program:
These programs will continue to operate as they relate to vulnerable populations in our community and the YMCA of Greater Moncton considers the services to be essential.
