(Moncton, N.B. – July 23, 2020) The YMCA of Greater Moncton will hold a job fair next Thursday to fill full-time and part-time positions for its satellite facility in Moncton’s North End.
“After years of planning and months of construction, we’re excited to be at the point of hiring staff to join the Y team at our additional location,” says YMCA of Greater Moncton CEO Zane Korytko.
The job fair will take place next from 4 to 6 pm next Thursday, July 30, outside the soon-to-be-open Moncton North YMCA, 70 Twin Oaks Drive. Full-time and part-time positions are available in the following areas: Membership Sales and Service; Health and Fitness; After-School Child Care and Housekeeping. Opportunities for volunteering are also available.
“We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding positions as well as the facility,” says Korytko. “Bring your resume and hope to see you there!”
The City of Moncton asked to partner with the YMCA of Greater Moncton to build the community facility. In December 2017, Moncton City Council unanimously approved proceeding with the community centre, working with the YMCA to facilitate its design and construction.
Work on the two-storey, 35,000 square-foot Moncton North YMCA began last year with the opening planned for this September. The current Y at 30 War Veterans Avenue will operate as usual once the additional facility opens. YMCA members will have access to both facilities.
The Moncton North YMCA will feature areas for fitness and community programs, an indoor splash pad and playground, and an indoor track (for walking, running or wheeling) with elevator access. It will be accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and stages of life.
The YMCA of Greater Moncton is a registered charitable organization dedicated to building healthy communities. It is committed to nurturing the potential of children, youth and families, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility within the community.
